Microfiction: But You’ll Drown

“If you breathe in the air you’ll drown,” His grandmother said about the passing sandstorm.  Unwilling to accept this he took in a deep breath and coughed salt water all over her rug.

 

“See what you made me do,” the child admonished.

 

“Just like your father,” his grandmother responded.
